Episode 111: Building with Intention: Navigating Postpartum Challenges as a New Mom and Entrepreneur

mindset

When it comes to being a mom, there’s libraries worth of books, videos, and advice given by mothers that have come before. I thought I had devoured it all. After all, knowledge is power, right? And when it comes to motherhood, there’s no shortage of information

But information is not experience.

What really hit me by surprise was the challenges with breastfeeding. I had big dreams of filling my freezer with stacks and stacks of milk for my baby. But I couldn’t produce much more than what my daughter could eat. For someone who likes to overachieve, that was a hard pill to swallow.

For all the changes that motherhood brought me, some crucial things stayed the same, including: I needed to adapt to what season I was in, not the other way around.

When you’re building a brand, it’s easy to get into the mindset of grinding it out all the time. But not only is that not sustainable (or pleasant), but it’s also not going to get you the best result.

You will have some seasons of sleepless nights, testing, and output-heavy projects. But you’ll also have some seasons where all you can do is sit back, ride the wave, and watch your previous efforts take root.

In this week’s podcast episode, join me for a frank discussion on the season of motherhood and the implications on your brand-building journey, including:

  • What season is your brand in currently? Is it time to sow, or time to reap?
  • How can you find value in the “small” tasks, when it feels like it’s all or nothing?
  • How can you ensure you’re developing your foundations—aka sowing the right thing?

The good news: every moment—even those quiet, sleep-deprived moments—is a moment of learning, growth, and a chance for God to guide you into your next season.

Because there’s no teacher like experience.
