Episode 6: How To Become More By Taking Your Power Back

mindset

Maureen Mwangi shares how success comes from the decisions made every day towards your goals.  She reminds us that we are never too young, too old, too tired, too poor, or responsible for too many things to take control of your success.

Are you ready to learn how to...

  • Overcome the daily ups and downs in your life
  • To make choices that propel you towards your dreams
  • Stop counting yourself out for success
  • Let go of your need for instant gratification
  • Live, breathe, and become the person required for your dreams

Stop letting other people and circumstances define your destiny!  "If it's going to be, it's going to be me!"  Instead of filling your day with busyness that doesn't propel you forward, attack the things that will help you achieve what you long for.

Many entrepreneurs find success in their 40s, 50s, 60s and even 70s.  Unfortunately, in our “need it now” culture, we forget that.  We get stuck in the ups and downs of our current circumstance and forget that things can change.

Remember the story of Colonel Sanders?  He faced huge setbacks, including The Great Depression, WW2, fires, competition, and more.  However, he continued to persevere, and ended up selling his company for $2M.  KFC is now worth over $5B!  This is what it looks like to make the sacrifices you need in order to build the business you want.

Reality check: If you're expecting everything to go right, then you have an entitlement attitude!  It will end up holding you back in business and in life.

So how do you develop the mental toughness in order to achieve what you want in life?  I'm so glad you asked!

You have to build the emotional muscle required for greatness.  Develop the capability and ability to process challenges, and then grow into a person who can handle them with grace and determination.  Become the person with the grit, agility, perseverance, and commitment to make things happen regardless.

Once you realize that setbacks are not a reason to give up.  The second you give anyone or anything the responsibility for what you want, you relinquish your power.  You allow someone else to define your destiny.

“If it’s going to be, it’s going to be me.”
